Frequently Asked Questions

About Onoloans

What kind of loans does Onoloans offer?

Onoloans offers consumer installment loans, also known as personal loans. Loan amounts range from $200 to $2,500. We do not offer payday loans.

Who is Onoloans?

Onoloans is a tribal lending entity wholly owned by the Mechoopda Indian Tribe of Chico Rancheria. Loan agreements are governed by tribal law and, where applicable, federal law.

Eligibility & Application

Who can apply?

To apply, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (19 in certain states)
  • Be a permanent U.S. resident
  • Have monthly verifiable income of at least $1,200
  • Have an active bank account in good standing
  • Have a working phone and valid email address
  • Reside in a state where we operate

How do I apply?

Applications are completed entirely online through our Customer Portal and typically take just a few minutes.

Will past credit problems disqualify me?

Not always. Past bankruptcy, bounced checks, charge-offs, and other credit problems won't always prevent an applicant from being approved. Approval is based on income, verification, and other credit criteria.

Decisions & Funding

How quickly will I hear back?

You should expect to hear from us shortly after submitting your application — typically within 15 minutes to one business day.

When will I receive funds?

If your application is approved and verification is completed by 5 p.m. MST on a business day, funds are typically deposited via ACH the next business day. "Next business day" means Monday through Friday, excluding federal banking holidays. Applications finalized on Saturday or Sunday fund on the second following business day.

Can I cancel my application?

Yes. You can cancel the same day by calling us before 5 p.m. MST with your identifying information.

Payments & Payoff

Can I pay off my loan early?

Yes. There is no prepayment penalty. Paying early reduces the total finance charge. See your loan agreement for details, or contact customer service for a payoff quote.

What if I can't make a payment?

Contact us as soon as possible. Late or missed payments may result in fees as allowable under tribal and applicable federal law, and may be reported to credit reporting agencies.

How do I change my bank account on file?

Contact customer service to update your banking information. For your security, we authenticate your identity before making changes to your account.

Is Onoloans available in my state?

Onoloans does not lend to residents of CO, CT, DC, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NY, SC, VA, VT, WV, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Availability in other states is subject to applicable law.
